Farmington Care Center Tops Nursing Home Ratings in Connecticut with Deficiency-Free Review

Among nursing home ratings in Connecticut, one of the highest confirmations of quality service is for a nursing home to receive a deficiency-free survey from the State Department of Public Health. Farmington Care Center is pleased and proud to have been found deficiency-free on its 2008 annual state survey.
The regulation for nursing homes requires each Connecticut nursing home to be thoroughly surveyed and rated on a range of core criteria such as safety, quality of care, patient rights, food service, administration and nursing care. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), recently implemented a 4 Star rating system, designed to assist consumers in evaluating where to receive nursing home care. Each facility in Connecticut is rated from a low of one star to a high of five stars based on three critical areas: health inspection results, quality measures, and staffing levels. The Facility is then given an overall star rating.

AHCA Quality First Award Winner 2008
Farmington Care Center was one of 153 long term care facilities in 36 states that earned a Quality Award this October from the American Health Care Association (AHCA) for demonstrating its strong commitment to continuous quality improvement.
